Weather you're a cook, artist, or athlete - Find your Inspiration in Montana

Just over 1 Million people call Montana their home making it 44th in overall US state by state population.  They call it “Big Sky Country,” or sometimes just “The Last Best Place” evoking imagery of the state’s giant vistas and wild open spaces.  Montana is also becoming known for a good place to find your personal inspiration.

We’ve collected these three beautifully cut videos, spinning inspirational stories from Chef Eduardo Garcia and his recovery from a near death experience, or Dennis Farris – whose “Hudson River School” style of painting found abundant landscapes to captivate his brush, or Rachel Pohl with her vibrant art, captured while she mounts expeditions into Montana’s most remote mountain locations.

In The Harvest, the fourth short film in The Sky’s the Limit video series, the video follows Eduardo on a year-long journey through Paradise Valley, Mont., and documents his story of perseverance. The healing power of his surroundings comes to life as he hikes mountains, fishes, hunts, forages and creates the perfect meal—this time for family and friends who helped him on his difficult journey back.  Learn more about Eduardo and his miraculous recovery through his anticipated documentary called Charged here:  http://www.chargedfilm.com/

Dennis Farris has painted all over the western United States, but he had never painted Montana. After picturing Montana’s enormous mountains and big blue skies in his mind for years, it wasn’t until Dennis set up his easel along the Continental Divide that he realized how powerful the place truly was. Dennis found his muse in the marine blue shadows of Two Medicine and drew inspiration from the golden yellows of the autumn larch trees surrounding Hidden Lake. With every brush stroke, Dennis brought Glacier National Park to life.

“You can read about a place. You can look at pictures of it. But unless you’ve been there and walked it, and felt it, it’s not the same. When you travel, you take that back with you, and it’s with you forever,” Dennis Farris

Rachel Pohl believes the world is her canvas. With Montana’s unspoiled beauty and pristine powder as her muse, she applies her vibrant paints against the state’s legendary winter beauty.  Find more about her and her art here:  http://www.rachelpohlart.com/
