NAHBS is Coming to Salt Lake City, Utah
The 2017 North American Handmade Bike Show (NAHBS) Brings Out Cycling's Pinnacle of Craftsmanship 3/10-12
Every year, many the world’s very best independent cycling frame builders, component makers and cycling enthusiasts come together to bask in the glow of bicycling’s most inspirational craftsmanship at the North American Handmade Bicycle Show (NAHBS). This year is the 12th annual show, and thousands of folks are expected to stroll through Salt Lake City’s Salt Palace Convention Center to swap stories and stand in awe in front of 100’s of the coolest new custom-built whips. At the 2016 event last year in Sacramento, California, more than 150 exhibitors presented every kind of bike imaginable — from custom downhill bombers to elegant, perfectly brazed single-speed
hipster commuter sleds, and everything in between.
If you decide to go to the show this year – come with a camera because you should be prepared to see some truly amazing works of rolling art. At the 2016 Bike Show, highlights included frames built from carbon fiber latticeworks for the main triangle tubes, Matter Cycles’ steel 27.5″+ (Steel is Real, remember!), 32″ and 36″ wheeled bikes from Dirty Sixer, titanium to the rafters and so much more.
In the 10+ years the North America Handmade Bike Show has been around, it has become a meeting point for frame builders and anyone who has a curiosity for rich culture and exquisite attention to detail. Think of it as a community of bike brands and cycling enthusiasts coming together to swap ideas and showcase their talent.
Whether you know the ins and outs of the handmade bike community or you just like to be immersed in sharing of ideas and artwork, NAHBS is truly a one-of-a-kind experience.
On top of it all, ENVE Composits will be celebrating 10 years in the industry while at NAHBS this year. ENVE has been making “enviable” carbon fiber mountain bike wheels, seatposts, stems, and more. They’re also moving their manufacturing to Ogden, Utah – how cool is that?
And then there’s the PARTS of NAHBS. We’re not just talking a few cool bits and pieces here and there, but treasure troves of some of the coolest new components available today. Take the lustworthy Paul’s…
